Former club member Teddy Blevins dies following surgery in Pauls Valley |
By John Dragoo COCCC President Many of you will remember former club member, Teddy Blevins. He recently entered the hospital for hernia surgery. He developed a blood clot and passed away Jan. 23. He was born March 25, 1956, in Pauls Valley to D. E. "Bud" and Juanita Blevins. He graduated in 1974 from Pauls Valley High School. He furthered his education with Vo-Tech courses in computers. He was an assistant manager at Blackburn's Ace Home Center in Pauls Valley. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Pauls Valley. In addition to his love of classic Chevys (in particular 1955s) he enjoyed working in stained glass. Some of his work is installed in the Faith Baptist Church. Services were held Wednesday, Jan. 26, at Stufflebean Funeral Home in Pauls Valley. He is survived by a daughter, Virginia, his parents, seven brothers and sisters including twin sister Claudia Fay Parker and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials can be sent to ate Faith Baptist Church. P.O. Box 243, Pauls Valley, 73075. Blevins was a good friend of Curtis and Kay Welch and many other COCCC members. Even as a former club member he continued to work the Bricktown show with and for us. Ted was a good friend to the COCCC and he will be missed. God speed Ted Blevins. |
